It’s that time once again, time for the 2017 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics!
It’s a great time for us to come together and support a really wonderful organization. All funds raised go to the Special Olympic athletes.
SOCO currently serves more than 20,000 people across Colorado, however there are more than 150,000 people with intellectual disabilities living in Colorado that would benefit from their amazing programs. That’s why your support is more important now than ever.
SOCO never charges their athletes and for many the experience can be life changing! Several of them plunge with us every year and it’s a lot of fun hearing their stories and experiences first hand.

Raise at least $75 and you can participate in the Polar Plunge. As mentioned above, you will be jumping into a 4′ pool of water. There are heated changing rooms nearby.
Not into jumping into cold water? No problem. Sign up to run the 5K. There is a $35 fee for the run but you can also raise funds to support Special Olympics.
Splash and Dash
Just like it sounds. Run the 5K, then take a jump into the pool with your team.
Not into running or jumping into cold water but still want to be involved? Sign up for the Chicken Coop and you can raise funds for Special Olympics and be eligible for incentives and participate in the event without getting cold…. from the water.
The Denver Zoo
February 25 is International Polar Bear Day! Discounted tickets to the zoo will be $9 if you want to come cheer us on as we plunge into the freezing cold pool set up near the Polar Bears exhibit and then enjoy the rest of the Denver Zoo afterwards.
We raised over $1,200 last year and had five of us plunge! This year we’re looking to have an even bigger team and would love your support.
